Been reading a book by Jack Donovan. He lists the following as core traits of bonobos (pygmy chimpanzees):
- Non-aggressive males.
- They rarely compete for mates or status
- Males are not possessive, and sex is promiscuous
and finally,
- Homosexual mating is common.
There’s also a book by Roger Devlin where he discusses the same. Devlin claims that bonobos live in a food-rich environment, in which violence and competition is a rarity.
Doesn’t this resemble the western world?
