Bonathi... For the tea farmers in the village.

KTDA announces major bonus for tea farmers: The Kenya Tea Development Agency will pay Sh45.3 billion to tea farmers towards end of this year. The payment is Sh4.8 billion more than the Sh40.5 billion paid to KTDA affiliated tea farmers last year.

Below is the payout analysis per factory.

Baba amesema walimu walipwe.

My understanding of bonus is something that is paid over and above what is due. Someone confirm, is this payment to farmers in consideration of the tea they deliver or is it an extra payment over what they’ve already been paid for their tea. If not, then we should tell KTDA to refrain from using the word bonus if at all its payment for their deliveries. I would hate for someone to call what is rightfully due to me as bonus.

quality ya chai

Quality kitu gani, I thought Rift Valley has the best tea while central province has the best coffee?

Nyumba ya mumbi lazima iwe rigged in kila mahali…?

Dear villager, you have a point but what I can tell you is: you may have the best tea but if you don’t maintain strictness in processes as far as quality is concerned, from growing, picking all the way to processing, you you have nothing. This rule applies to all other cash crops.

they have been paid for the green leaf they delivered. the bonus is from the profits the factory (which belongs to them) made from processing and selling the tea…

Enda ambia maasai ya Kajiado hiyo story yako- the bottom line is that Central Province has always been favored in literally everything- sio educational institutions, hospitals, roads, sportpesa, safaricom, airtel, charity sweepstakes winners, etc, etc…

factory management efficiencies…some factory boards are more accountable and i believe it goes with the culture of the places concerned…note zones 3 (Kirinyaga/Embu) and 4 (Greater Meru) have highest averages/payouts…

may i laugh?..no…you’ll say am favoured…

…There is the monthly pay which is around Kes 12 to 14/= per kg. In additional; semi annually the farmers are paid extra rate per kg(s) delivered to the factory commonly referred to as Bonus. Note this is not mandatory but depends on the revenue return of the respective factory.

  1. Maasai ya Kajiado pia ni watu, some of them are educated more than you can dream of.
  2. For the Central Province you are obsessed with, I suggest you check your facts AND contact your geography teacher(s) Region 3 and 4 in the table above that top are not in central.
  3. For favour(s) in educational institutions, hospitals, roads etc, blame you Honorable governor.
  4. For sportpesa, safaricom, airtel, charity sweepstakes winning, pray more than before na ufanye bidii.
Next time, KEB itahitaji kutoka kwako mbisha ya “Central Province ikiwa favored in literally everything”
    Thankyou.

Kwetu tuna process sisi wenyewe na tunaandika vijana na mabuda wazihawk. Whenever you see a guy shouting ‘majani! Majani!’ Be considerate to them that could be one of my relatives/ neighbors.

dude…failures, lazyand followers of mpasho(all other mharo news) and GUYS WITH very low IQ always have that mentality. i cant blame you and i wont because you planted a “central are thieves/ favored etc” mentality. so next time you wanna talk about central, just go there and see how people give no fuck.
