Do you know that the phrase ‘blood is thicker than water’ is not the original?
It is in fact “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.”
It means, the family you choose is stronger the the one you got. Total opposite of the meaning of the first phrase.

Eehhh …
To Whit …???
True. The ones you fight alongside in the battle field (blood brothers) have a stronger bond than your biological brothers (water of the womb brothers).
Hii si ile mwanamke ya harpic?
Ooh yeah very very true
True.
This is the problem with our habit of shortening things. We don’t understand their original intention anymore.
For example the saying “a jack of all trades is a master of none” these days can be used as an insult ama to undermine a person kimpango but the full quote is actually “a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one” which was used as a compliment
Family will watch you struggle… the go ahead and help a stranger.
