Oh ye knowledgeable villagers of the interwebs, my Hexing prepaid meter went blank a few days ago though I still have power in my house. Have tried to disconnect and connect from the switch board but still blank. What could be the issue here or does that mean I have free electricity?
Just report to Kenya power. They obviously won’t act. so you can enjoy free power and if caught, utasema ulireport.

@Gio please follow up with them because the meter is still counting down the units…if they don’t act fast chat with your caretaker (kama unaishi kwa mtaa) so that he can assist in bypassing it in the mean time.
Alternatively SMS stima#your meter number#describe the problem briefly to 95551

Try removing the two communication cable from it then urudishe …Then pia uangalie its connection kwa meter box if iko poa …

tampering with the meter is a criminal offence unless you want to bypass the meter (doable by an qualified electrician) and enjoy free electricity forever.
any signs of you tampering with it and you be held liable.

The prepaid metre gadget in ua house is just a reflection of the actual metre in the metre-board to help u chek and load token.So nothin for free here…

You must report. .It will trigger the circuit breaker when the units reach zero. They will replace the microprocessor at the pole and give you a new prepaid account number. The pre paid work is contracted by kplc they act fast
Were you sorted out? If yes, how long did it take them after you first reported the matter?
