The act of love is taught by women. The act of hatred is taught by women. At times they do it in subtle ways, but it rubs real deep. Ed Gein, the serial killer was taught how to hate by his parents. He killed his family too. So pass love and you shall reap love, pass hatred and that is what you reap. It begins with you!

Let’s take personal responsibility for our behavior please. If you commit atrocious murders don’t blame your mother or your parents because they are people who have had worse parents and they are not using their parents as a crutch to become serial killers . As you say everything begins with you. Not with your mother or your parents or women or men. As a Christian I have passed love regardless of the outcome because it’s what my faith demands of me. Even when I am the only one doing what is right and it will cost me, I still do it. Personal responsibility.

Ever heard about the hierarchy of character?

No. Educate. I’m always ready to learn something new every day.

I might give you links, but they don’t explain it well. Let me pick on my cat as an example. They gave him to me at age 5 days. He has never had any contact with any cat whatsoever, not even watched any on TV, to date. He is now about 6 years old, but he does what all cats do, like burying his shit etc. Who taught him? So, I just explained level one of the hierarchy of character!

OK. Level 2?

Level two is about love and mentor-ship! I will use my cat as an example again. Reward and punishment. Read about that coz we use that strategy to train elephants, rhinos, lions etc.

Yes. Love must be inculcated! I am talking about the reasoning “behind the outcome”. Look at you! You are unhappy coz somebody ( baby daddy) did not fulfill his promise…Level 2 is about nurture( a real broad topic) Oh… my cat sits when I say sit. He jumps when I say jump…coz I taught him!

The doctrine of personal responsibility is noble. It’s a lonely and dark road, but it must be taken by some anyway.

How you behave is a choice that’s the bottom line. If you decide to be promiscuous take responsibility don’t come to justify your actions ati men are polygamous. So I couldn’t help myself. Just say you want to sleep around and then do it. Tusibishane. Kesi ni mbinguni. Those concepts of men are polygamous Sijui sio sabuni ati it aisha, utaelezea God ukifika mbele. Don’t try to assuage your guilty conscience by convincing us to either join you or understand you. It’s not us you need to convince its yourself and God. The whole point of being an adult is to hold personal responsibility for your life. Not to blame women, men, your gender your parents your class 5 teacher your dog, your cat, your pet rabbit, your great grandmother.

My advice would be that you pick one and blame everything on them. Particularly the pets. LOL.

Hehe,
No need for the escapist tendencies, the pets or grandparents aren’t even aware of your struggles. If it is true God exists–whatever form each living human being believes Him to take–then you can’t lie about your true self. He knows you. Whether people understand you or not is something else.

Being social creatures people’s approval can mean alot. Still sometimes it’s just a phase which you eventually outgrow. Age has a very grounding and calming effect on most people. The narrative about a true self has kept many chained to vices. Your identity is always evolving because you are growing. Last year you may have thought nothing of chewing miraa but by 2022 you can’t even stand the sight of it. It’s called growth. I believe in limits but also in being open minded not too narrow minded it robs you of learning experiences in life. That said, choices have consequences, dire ones, sometimes, so we must be careful too.

The point about blaming all your problems one person if possible a pet is a joke. The only chapter in the Bible I know off head is Psalms 139. It says God knows you better than you know yourself. Isn’t that a good reason to ask Him for help now that He knows the beginning from the end? If your conscience bothers you, you know that you will have to justify your actions to God. Even in animist African religion we understand that we are part of something greater than ourselves. I am because we are. Ubuntu. You must therefore be accountable to Someone greater than your singular self.

Think of the actions of the ex veteran cop Derek Chauvin. He was used to high handedness in his handling of suspects there were several complaints from black manhandled suspects. His boss Chief Ordondo, perhaps fearing an altercation with a veteran cop much older than him turned a blind eye to the complaints. You may say, he’s a son of perdition like Judas Iscariot and this was his fate, just as the untimely and unfortunate circumstances surrounding the death of George Floyd were his fate.

The reason why you need to be in synch with God is because He has the complete picture that you in your finite mind don’t have and can’t comprehend even if you had it. I’ve lived long enough to understand that God is master planner. He has woven everything together intricately. So complex yet so simple. That’s why it’s said hindsight is 20/20. When the puzzle is complete it’ll make perfect sense. Meanwhile be guided by the One who knows the beginning from the end. Trust Jesus He knows the way.

Exquisitely put.
Personally, I have no problem with God, His work is clear in the very existence of everything we are, everything we know, and everything we see and think we know. I just struggle with honestly accepting some parts of the Christian doctrine, that’s all.
