Birrioneas Report Card

The wealthiest 125 people in Kenya own more wealth than 77% of the population i.e 42.6 million people. In the last 10 years alone, 7 million more Kenyans have fallen into poverty despite the economy growing at 5% per year in real terms. In other words, the economy is growing, but that growth is only being felt by the birrioneas you see cruising around town in Bentleys, Aston Martins, and G-Wagons.

Nearly half of Kenyans live on less than Ksh 130 per day (extreme poverty). Endeleeni kuzaana kama panya mkiwa maskini.
