Which crossover is better than the above in matters cost, reliability, comfort and maintenance?
The same Honda CRV niko na hiyo 3rd Generation 2011…safi kama pamba
Shida ya CRV huwa ni AWD yake tu. Haiko fiti kama ya Subru, Audi ama Rav 4.
@MTINGIZA_KITANDA say something about its AWD
Aje haswa/how is it problematic @Stick-Up_Kid
Doesn’t have a proper power distribution on demand… sluggish as well. So if one wheel is stuck, it takes a longer time, if at all it does, to send power to that particular wheel so it can get out of the situeshen. This, unlike the symmetrical AWD and quattro for Subru and Audi respectively, which send the correct amount of power to the right wheel on demand and in time.
After 2013, AWD is unnecessary in Kenya. County governments wamejaribu Na barabara za mashinani such that AWD is just an unnecessary penalty on fuel economy.
In general between CR-V and forester which would you go for?
Forester.
Very much debatable. Hizi barabara unaona sio za kuingia ndani machinani. What I am sure of is that you do not need a 4.2-litre plus guzzler if you are not visiting areas like big farms and sandy zones. Actually, those GD engines on Hiluxes and Prados are just enough to get you around the country. Hizo V8 engines are just for flexing if you are not off-roading.
Unfortunately mine is a FWD…ni hard kupata 4x4 hapa kenya
Get a Suzuki Grand Vitara
My sojourns around the country reveal an active attempt by MCAs to open up interior roads. At least to gravel standards. In any case, a typical Nairobian or urbanite will be home for at most one week a year. Methinks that is not enough to justify an AWD.
Those gravel roads that are usually almost always swept away by rain within the next rainy season? But you have a point. RWDs ndio kazi kuenda nayo ocha during rainy season.
mbona mnachukia AWD, yet they are manufactured for those shagz bad terrain.
probably it is 2wd
Chukua hiyo CRV, I had a second generation one ya 2008 and it served me just fine. You actually dont need AWD crossover on most kenyan roads, and am speaking from experience as someone who uses one of the worst roads regularly pale Tongaren, i usually manage just fine. But if you think your regular drives will take you to very poor terrains huko mashinani, of which i doubt, then you should look for a different type of beast above 2.5l.
