Elders what would be the best place to run or rather open a nightclub considering the rate of competition, cartels in Nairobi and its environs as a starter.
Forget nairobi kabisaa. Look at other counties, kwa wakale sana sana, na Wasiapere. Don know why Muran’ga only got one club was in Maka villa or something? That town is haunted i guess. Wesdan ndio kuna potential, target students wa Masinde Mliro, Jaramogi Odinga, Moi Uni iko way outside other demographics…Nanyuki is also upcoming.
Unataka a club or a decent pub? I have a place in mind.

Biz ya club is tricky. Don’t assume that just coz a club is full that equates to minting millions. A table can have 4 patrons sharing a bottle of whiskey and a few sodas. The profit on the drinks alone can be maybe 1k at best, this is before factoring in other costs like waiters, rent, security, bribes and many others. This is a business ikona wenyewe and their agenda is not always clean. Behind the scenes of most clubs is an elaborate business peddling all kinds of drugs and cleaning dirty money.

Nowadays Nairobi pesa haiko kwa clubs…pesa iko kwa restaurants that also sell drinks. Enda pale Kencom right across the street from your favorite dungeon Sabina Joy. Utaona restaurant inaitwa The Curve. The typical spend per person hapo ni kama 1k. 1k is high a for a restaurant juu unlike club iko busy all days of the week na typically people don’t spend many hours eating like they spend drinking. Kwa hivyo turnover ya clients ni high sana and its always busy. That investor must be minting millions from that restaurant akigonga kunguru 700 bob per cocktail na ni gilbeys in fancy cutlery.
Restaurant iko na sitting capacity ya kama 200 people. Average spend is at least 1k. The average guest will take 2 hours max before they leave. Yet that restaurant is at least half full at any time of the day and full in the evening watu wakingonja jam iishe waende home after job.

Have seen it and thought of patronising from the SJ smoking area. The thought process was interrupted by a petite yellow yellow below 23 with bra less top, tirries zilikua saa sita. I digress

With the economy in recession, this is the worst time to invest in a club or any alcohol-fueled business. It will be atleast 3 years before u break even, if at all you do. Saa hii club mob unapata kuna more idlers with one or 2 bottles than actual spenders. Kila mtu ako njaa!
