Which is the most marketable masters program for an engineering graduate…nimecheki project management is not bad.leteni views

Umespecilize na which eng??

Looking at this topic from a futuristic perspective, Industry 4.0, IoT, IIoT, Autonomous Driving will be the key technologies that will shape the engineering field in the coming decade. Any academic pursuit along those lines will put one at an advantage in innovating things that will matter. Project Management is good, but I think Robotics would be better. Unfortunately, Kenyan universities do not have tailor-made courses, but you could do an MSc and focus your research in the areas highlighted above.

Water and Environmental

Robotics issa no…utalala njaa:D

Nikupee number ya Sonko uka-unblock drainage Nairobi River  Story ya master’s siwezi kusaidia

You’d be amazed how seriously it’s being taken in some high schools.
It’s only a matter of time before it goes mainstream.

Aisee jo nimetemea mate UN…kuna jamaa yangu alifanya project management masters saa hii is earning like shiit

ongea vizuri na watu wa world vision

Fanya masters ya oil and gas engineering

Project Management is very good. Like @mgesh above said, look for courses that have potential in the next few years then go for it

I would advise you to do a masters in the same field as your own degree assuming you don’t regret doing that degree. If you don’t like your degree then go for whatever field you are most passionate about. Never do a masters for the money, always follow your passion. If you chase money it simply runs away from you.

That said, anything to do with data is a lucrative field with lots of opportunities like they say, data is the new oil

Robotics issa waste of time, Kenya is not a manufacturing country. IoT, is simply another name for Big Data. All IoT devices come with easy interfaces, all you have to do is plug in your pipelines and tap that data. Project management and MBAs are for the boring, plain, non-intellectuals still living in the last decade.

Master Baters

Put in another way, focus on the problems you want to be able to solve expertly after the masters

Hii vile umeambiwa utalala nje Kenya, there will be no work for you except lecturing with delayed pay and even then, it’ll be hard to find work in other countries.
If you really want to do a graduate (non-management focused) engineering degree, do it outside the country, that way you have many options. Otherwise in Kenya, you’ll just end up miserable.

Welding kama Ile ya RAO.

kuna masters ya project management, I thought its usually a unit in most masters degree, anyaway the way I see it kuna 2 paths either you want to advance into research and teaching in that case fanya masters in line with your first degree, the other option is the employment option, hapo masters will not be of much help if you dont have much experience, it might actually be a hindrance in your progress at the early employment stages.

For UN, either unajuana, you are very lucky ama as mentioned above you are very experienced and well read (talking of PHD) in a particular field.

Why do you want to master what you don’t understand in the first place?
