Bernie Sanders drops out of the 2020 race

Sen. Bernie Sanders ended his presidential campaign on Wednesday, clearing Joe Biden’s path to the Democratic nomination and a showdown with President Donald Trump in November. Bernie Sanders told his campaign staff his decision to drop out in a call Wednesday.
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, BERNIE!!! Now let’s move UNITED into November to defeat The Orangeman Trump! #bluewave2020

Sanders made the announcement in a call with his campaign staff, his campaign said.
Sanders’ exit caps a stunning reversal of fortune following a strong performance in the first three states that voted in February. The nomination appeared his for the taking until, on the last day of February, Biden surged to a blowout victory in South Carolina that set off a consolidation of moderate voters around the former vice president. The contest ends now as the country continues to grapple with the coronavirus pandemic, which halted in-person campaigning for both Sanders and Biden and has led many states to delay their primary elections.

Biden’s Alzheimer’s dementia is getting worse and worse by the day. His cognitive issues can no longer be ignored.

Joe Biden has signs of dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Hii kiti Trump anachukua 8am…imagine 2016 Bernie Sanders with little political endorsements resulted to most of his supporters staying at home and did not vote after missing out the ticket.
What about now that he was endorsed by key Democratic leaders like Keith Ellison, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib?

The Emperor will always be Orange and Naked after we send him packing… :stuck_out_tongue:

Stocks ended sharply higher Wednesday after Sen. Bernie Sanders dropped out of the presidential race, relieving some of Wall Street’s political concerns amid the economic crisis stemming from the coronavirus. Some of Sanders’ policy proposals, including Medicare for All, raised concern among several business owners and investors who feared taxes would go up under his presidency. Wednesday’s news puts former Vice President Joe Biden, who is seen by Wall Street as a more market-friendly candidate, closer to the Democratic nomination.
“Sanders’ exit removes the tail risk of some of his policies, immediately sets up focus on Biden vs. Trump,” said Ed Mills, Washington policy strategist at Raymond James. “Biden’s policies will get new scrutiny now he is the presumptive nominee, but the truth of the matter is that the market will be looking towards Washington more to help the economy and much of the assistance matches his platform.”
If recent polling is any indication, Trump has an uphill climb ahead of him if he wants to remain in the White House after January 20, 2021.
According to polling aggregator Real Clear Politics, Biden holds an average lead of 6.1 points over Trump in national polls conducted between March 11 and Tuesday, April 7.
Biden’s lead across various national polls ranges from a 10-point margin over Trump in a Harvard-Harris poll conducted between March 24 and March 26, to just three points separating the two in a Monmouth University poll from the week before.
A more recent national poll, which was commissioned by The Economist and conducted between April 5 and April 7 by YouGov, shows the former vice president beating Trump by a margin of 48 percent to 42 percent among registered voters.
Of the same group of voters, 51 percent reported disapproving of the way Trump is handling his job as president, with 45 responding that they at least somewhat approved of his performance. As for whether respondents had a favorable or unfavorable opinion of Trump himself, their responses broke down largely along the same lines, with 51 percent viewing him unfavorably and 44 percent having a favorable opinion of him.
Biden also holds narrow leads over Trump in several of the key states whose electoral votes won Trump the presidency in 2016.

Corona virus has all but eliminated Trumps chances for re-election . He dismissed it as a flu. 14k deaths and counting. And Florida is getting worse. And it was a big swing state. 415 deaths is old people’s homes alone in that state. Remember it’s the old people who gave him a 1.2% margin win in 2016.
