He forgot that he has serious investments in Muslim dominated countries like Turkey where is has Trump Tower.

Adjusting for population, that’s like 4,000 people dying from gun crime in Kenya each year. I think our rates are below 500pa, and most of those are police shootings (the figures for the US DO NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT POLICE SHOOTINGS!)

Americans are obsessed with guns, violence, sex etc. The country has almost 20% of all prisoners in the whole world, highest drug consumption, largest number of serial killers, sexual violence etc

Gun control is a political issue. Its not that politicians dont know that guns are dangerous. Its just that its a good political debate element. Modern politics have been refined so that debate has been moved from serious things like tax, housing and food, which might even bring a revolution, to blurry and sometimes useless stuff like gay rights, foreign imaginary enemies, gun rights, etc. That way, all the options(Demopublicans and Republicrats) have the same opinion on major and really important elements of governance. The public have no real choice.

Americans are a strange lot, I was doing some research on motorcycle safety, some states in the US do not require guys to wear helmets, that they do not see the folly in this is appalling at the very least. I think they are a superficial lot.
