Does this still stands a chance of happening in the near future? Remember the Covid19 is wreaking havoc in the country and only God knows when it will end. The cases have increased to 172 and the disease just got started in Kenya and in Africa. We might as well assume that 2020 is done and dusted. Next the economy will take a nosedive caused by huge unemployment, collapsed SMEs as a result of the disease and lower consumer spending and demand as a result of the low disposable income caused by the disease. Remember we will be in 2021, struggling to resuscitate the economy from completely collapsing and get it back to life from the ICU. 2022 we have elections coming up. Will we manage to politic and hold referendum in 2021 that interferes with economic recovery and brings about another disturbance to the economy or will our focus be on trying to bring the economy back to life and save the little we can for the next year’s 2022 election mandated by the constitution starting with voter registration in 2021. I think it save to say that the issue of BBI and Referendum is done and dusted .
