The launch of the first inter-city, inter-county electric matatu!
BasiGo has officially launched 16 and 19-seat capacity Electric Vans. Our first vans are in operation with Manchester SACCO and 4NTE SACCO, plying the Nyeri-Nakuru and Thika-Nairobi routes.
BasiGo’s MA3e takes the benefits of affordable, electric public transport
outside of the city and into the heart of Kenya’s inter-city and inter-county
routes!
The vans will be offered through our Pay-As-You-Drive lease model, designed to lower the cost barrier for operators looking to electrify their fleet, and will be supported by our local assembly and after-sales infrastructure, including charging. We have installed DC fast chargers in Nyahururu and Thika to support seamless operations.
This is the future of inter-city transport in Africa. BasiGo is taking the MA3 electric, and reservations are open!
