So during my hustles today I went to Westlands and ohhh boy the new highway is changing the place.The Chinese contractor has cut down all the trees nilikuwa najua especially pale Consolata Shrines…
Beck to mai observation,Brigadier Badi is putting cabros along the same highway that is bound to be demolished in few weeks if not months.He is even landscaping around the base of the Mugumo tree that has been on the local news lately…What a genious…he’ll probably save the damn ancestral green thing
also found it weird that his paving and landscaping and that’s where they are offloading these big pipes for the expressway.
and the dived between the two roads at that stretch where the stage to town is very small, so chances are where his paving, might be the new diversion later on.

Thievery in Kenya is on another level. Before construction of a new road, the Kenha Guys, after awarding the main works contract. (usually design and build) come up with a ‘small works contract’ a few months to commencement of the Main works. They do this because the works cannot be audited. Example
