If this Elon musk dude really wanted to invest in Kenya or Africa, he would have started by investing in his solar business, then EV technology.

He should open an EV factory in Kenya. Hapo sasa ndio watu watasaidika. Otherwise star link will just be a normal office somewhere in Westlands with less than a dozen employees

:artificial_satellite: :fire: Russian Star Link has arrived, and it’s here to stay!

Launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome, three domestic low-orbit communication satellites developed by the Russian company “Bureau 1440” just gave their first Internet signal.

The speed is 12 Mbit/sec, the latency is 41 milliseconds. The next stage is serial and mass production of domestic devices, as well as increasing the data transmission speed to more than 100 Mbps.

The goal of the project is to create a commercial satellite broadband internet access service that will operate in low orbits, at high speed and with minimal latency. It will be put into operations in 2027.

Starting from 2025, 10-12 rockets per year will be launched into orbit, carrying about 15 satelites each. Overall, more than 900 low-orbit domestic satelites will be created and launched into orbit by 2035. They will provide high-speed satelite Internet access to the residents all over Russia. The plan is to provide broadband internet services via Russian satellites in 75 countries of the world.

Elon Musk, what do you think of this? :star2::rocket:

The pictures show young Russian engineers’ joy. These are the people who are now creating the future. By the way, the firm’s name, “Bureau 1440” came from the glorious past of the domestic space industry. The first artificial satelite, launched into space by the Soviet Union in 1957, made 1440 revolutions around the planet. :earth_africa:
