Who owns the land, is it private or council – if it is council, build decent affordable social housing, safe from fire hazards.
Some are prefab Eco homes->

What everybody is ignoring - THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM - is that the kijiji is built on PRIVATE land. The owner is an Asian family that was intimidated by the same Raila when he was MP for Langata to abandon the pursuit of ownership.
I don’t condone human suffering but being ‘poor’ (some of the residents are actually millionaires) does not give anybody a right to other people’s property - that kijiji will burn again and again and again.

Who owned the land prior to the Asian family, was it road reserve or the councils………what amount of money changed hands, to transfer it to the Muhindi’s ownership.
If it was private land, fine no issues.

The only predictable thing is that slums, homelessness and poverty exist due to land grab and corruption.
