After watching the Olympics, especially track and field events, I saw no new entrant to the track events will ever replace Bolt. The Bolt Era was unmatched. He was a monster and a beast in the track. Jamaicans are really talented athletes. They dominated the 100M, 200M and the 4×100M relay races. It was a Jamaica v US affair strictly. Jamaica had Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake and Asafa Powell (the sub 10s king). US had Tyson Gay, Justin Gatlin and Ryan Bailey. I particularly was a fan of Yohan Blake especially during the 2012 London Olympics when he smoked the US team in the 3rd run during the 4×100 relay race. Blake was just unlucky that he had to compete against his fellow countryman, the phenomenal Bolt. He is now a shell of his former self. Injuries, hamstrings, ruptures did him a good one. I saw him struggle in a particular 100M race where Lyles came first and our own Omanyala came second. I think he should just retire as he aint getting any younger (he is 34). Bolt and Powell are retired. Gay and Gatlin are also retired. Bailey had a doping scandal that led him to be banned from the sport for 2 years. Currently we are stuck with the loudmouth Lyles and the new entrant from Botswana, Tebogo.

Watch out for the youngster from Jamaica, Seville and the guy who had beaten Lyles but hesitated at the finish line, Thompson.

Jamaicans have this behaviour of loosening it up at the finish line sijui mbona. Even Bolt and Powell used to slow down and start jogging when they were nearing the finish line.

Umesahau omanyala. The next big thing
