ARUSHA, Tanzania – The Minister of State in the President’s Office (Regional Administration and Local Government - TAMISEMI), Prof. Riziki Shemdoe, has issued a stern directive to contractors across the country to expedite urban development projects or face financial penalties.
The Minister gave this order on Thursday, December 18, 2025, during an inspection of the new Arusha Main Bus Terminal currently under construction in the Bondeni City area. The project, which is a key component of the Tanzania Cities Transforming Infrastructure and Competitiveness (TACTIC) program, has officially reached 40% completion.
