You don’t understand that the U.S is a 244 year old democracy!
The USSR lasted for 69 years only before dissolution. 1922 to 1991.
The U.S by the very nature of being a Democracy has weathered it all including a bloody civil war.
That simple act of passing on power after 4-8 years is where the U.S gets it’s power.

If in your chosen system you choose not to share power fairly AND REGULARLY then definitely the divorce is imminent. The divorce between the races or tribes is coming. That is very basic logic of how to hold an empire together for long.
