Those who’ve watched this movie, what is it really about?
Civil war re-enactors who kidnap black and take them to open fields and recreate the slavery era
Not human trafficking? They also target really learned black people. I’ve always thought about how easy it is to get kidnapped and turned into a slave btw there are over 60k missing black women in America who have never been found. Surely where are all these women?
It was about racist white civil war re-enactors who wanted to experience the thrill of slavery as it was. So they kidnap blacks of all walks of life and subject them to the inhuman treatment. What I’m not sure is whether they drugged them so as not to remember their lives.
I got the impression that they targeted learned blacks who were elite. And even forced them to change their names to forget their status in society pre being kidnapped and trafficked. It’s an extreme of racism. That no matter how high you climb the ladder you will still be black and therefore subordinate to whites especially the hilly billies kind of white trash.
