But good leadership is not a rocket science.
It is just the simple understanding that , You the leader , does not lead for self interest but for those of your electorate.
The citizens peace , aspirations , progress and eventual prosperity depends on you the leader setting a good personal example of probity , integrity and vision as you monitor , steward and “watchdog” governance and service delivery structures.
You do not have to be an expert on anything in order to achieve this.
Just allow :-
- the doctors to do the doctoring.
- the nurses to do the nursing.
- the engineers to deliver the infrastructure.
- the teachers to do the teaching.
- the entrepreneurs to do ethical business.
- the police to maintain law and order.
You get the idea by now ..
But most important is keep all politicians and dirty politics from interfering in service delivery and welfare of the citizens.
The primary purpose of a peoples Parliament is to act as an important safeguard and check to any over-reach and illegality by the other arms of governance (.. the Executive and Judiciary.. )
In short , the leadership and governance structures serve the people and not the other way around.
Potential good leaders exist all around you.
But your tribal , sectional , parochial drives and other negative blinkers hinder your vision and good judgement.
You do not need a PhD or any specific education to achieve the above goals.
Just Vision , Integrity , a will to serve and a good dose of common sense.
