While some groups are useful, I find most of whatsapp groups annoying. Most people in the groups recycle stuff from other groups until you are sick and tired.
I recently became aware that you can mute such groups and the notifications will not keep on popping up and distracting you. The only problem is that you will still receive the messages.
Has anyone figured out a way to stop receiving notifications without exiting the group which for some reason makes group members offended?
Mboss, this feature has been there all along. The first thing I do when I am added into a group is to mute notificiations for an year then after some time on a quiet evening at around 1 am I exit the group.

Mimi niko kwa groups mbili pekee, na ukiniongeza kwa ingine natoka almost immediately. It sends a message, especially to whoever added me, that I’m not interested. Getting bombarded with hundreds of useless messages every morning is not my cup of tea.

I think it is rude to exit a group immediately after being added without even knowing what it is about. Some groups are created for noble courses

This is actually true but most of them become a useless pain in the ass over time.
