Tecno if ever will release the 5.1.1 lollipop for the device. It’s manufacturer dependent

If you plan to INSTALL CUSTOM ROMS TO YOUR ANDROID DEVICE then buy Sony, Motorola, Nexus, LG, onePlus, Oppo or any other phone with a dedicated page on XDA. Avoid Samsung juu hata xda they wrote an article about how Samsung doesn’t support devs and told guys to get Sony devices… Failure to do as said will be kinda hard for you. You might root but installing custom roms and kernels itakuwa chida. Even getting the roms itakuwa shida

tecno y6 is very new but very common mwambie angoje mpaka Dec ivi maybe kutatokea custom rom

Custom Roms for Tecno? Hehe, very unlikely. Mwambie atafute aina nyingine ya smartphone. Buying a Tecno phone expecting to tweak it is an uninformed decision, a poor one. Same for most Chinku phones(Bird, Innjoo, Infinix). Though anaweza jaribu Xiaomi na Meizu labda.

you can actually tweak them especially using gravity box and most of them have custom Roms available
