And replace the institution with what? A PM and a ceremonial President?

This noise will grow more louder and the matter more urgent once uliam hits the homestretch

This guy is Railas lackey. Raila himself has always said he wants a system whereby the president is chosen by MPs as opposed to a system whereby the president is chosen by the people. Ndii is just echoing his master’s sentiments

Dead on arrival. Would have been better if it came from a different entity. Ati Ndii the hardliner? Again he’s basing success on the current national feeling of being overtaxed. In two weeks time, Kenyans being Kenyans, will have moved on.

The problem with Kenyans is that they let one person speak for 40Million. Ndii with all his degrees cannot solve our issues. We have 1800 MCAs and the country is shiet. What Kenya needs is integrity, accountability and a benevolent dictator. Very basic principles that even if we were being ruled by Obama, we would not go anywhere.

Ndii should stick to writting newspaper and tweets. He has nothing to offer.

RAT echoes what his “Thinktank” says he say…and we all know who the thinktank is…so the thinktank is saying what RAT cannot say anymore…

At the end of the day, its simply politics. Nothing more

by that time eyes will be on other things for his rants to attract any notice

Basically let’s change the constitution (forest) to suit the monkey of our choice.

we are loosing, let’s change the goalposts.

Our democracy is an infant. The tyranny of numbers is giving us useless leaders like Uhuru and Ruto. Love or hate him, you can’t deny Ruto has a shot to the presidency because he is backed by the biggest tribe in Kenya. Just that, no agenda to change anything. Just ‘mtu wetu’ nonsense.

We need to change the way we elect our president!

Maybe each county should count as 1 vote and the winner should win the majority counties. For instance, if Ruto gets 10 million votes from Rift Valley but the rest of the counties unanimously vote for another person despite their low numbers, the president should be the person who has won in more counties rather than individual votes.

That is the way forward.

Mfuasi was raira unataka tukukumbushe RWNBP mapema hivi? For you democracy means voting for that demented fella. Your post stinks of bias towards his side. Imagine sahii despite umeffi ya the two, we’d still vote for them if the other option was TMT!

In your silly math, Uhunye would still be prezo. He won 27 out of47 counties

The initial establishment of a Presidency was by way of a governor by our Colonial master. They did this to have the governor take direct orders from the King and impose them on their territories. We never changed this system. Does it really suite the country? I don’t think so. The country is too diverse. It’s much larger than what the colonialists had to control. It works only in a dictator style system. If you have a tolerant President like we do, it’s problematic.
But that does not mean we need a PM and a President.
Even if the President was chosen by MPs, Raila would still not be President.

You know, one of my heroes is Steve Biko from apartheid SA. Everyone has his faults and so did steve. But in my opinion, his idea of black consciousness makes a lot of sense.

The people need to be conscious of where they are and what they need to achieve. Now,in his time in SA, it was apartheid. In our time, we need to be conscious to the fact that voting on tribal lines is a huge mistake and will not allow our country to progress much.

This may seem idealistic, but what kenya needs is a consciousness move like what steve tried to do to SA. We need to be conscious of the fact that kenya and indeed all African countries are mere midgets on the global scale.

I foresee a second colonial experience but not from the west (I.e britain etc), but from the east (china). And a large majority of africans arent conscious of this fact.

That suggestion would only work if county boundaries were re-drawn.

His expectation at the time was that JaKuon would sail through and take that seat.

What happened to the three-tier govt BTW?
