An apology to Our poorly equipped Police

The levels of restrainment demonstrated by these officers is out of this world.

These officers are again let down by a shitstem that has systematically defunded and underscored the sector for the purposes of making the rich, richer.
But how is this so?
A closer look at our tourism industry that despite it’s rich long history, incentives and both natural and human resources, Kenya attracts a laughable 2million (or thereabout) visitors per year gaining only 600milliin ndorra:meffi:
The kifua thumping nipigienieni makofi kiRo president Uhuru gathered a presser in October if 2018 when Kenya attained the 2million mark foreign visitors into the country.
At the very effing same time, the industry in Thailand was telling people to hit the streets for the failure of the government on not achieving a 30miRRion foreign visitors annually.
Now, these two nations are almost similar in size with Kenya slightly edging Thailand with a few hundred K sq km.
So what does Thailand do differently or sell that we don’t have?

Kenyas tourism industry is almost 150yrs
Thailand tourism industry is half that

Kenya has EVERY EFFING thing including deep sea safari, inland beaches and bitches.

Thailand has only beaches and bitches yet they gain US NDORA 62BILLION

Kenya at most US NDORA 800million of which majority of this revenue end up in the pockets of the overseas owners who own and run these well controlled barbed wire resorts.
These are the very (indanashono frendz) forces that demand budget reallocation in creation running and maintaining of the so called conservatories dotted around their Kenya.
That is why a fisi, or antelop has better security through a well trained and equipped KWS than our poor officers.
This is why it is insecure to attract the ordinary back packers into Kenya again leaving wanjiku out in the cold waving at a fast zooming Toyota Land Cruiser…

…or maybe the cops were extorting them as Kenya police always do, and the citizens got fed up.

You do realize Kenya is one of the most expensive countries to visit as a tourist eh. The way “Safari” tourism are packaged is way beyond what ordinary citizens of Europe and N.America who are our main clientele can afford. University students on spring break for example cannot afford a safari vacation to Kenya, but they flock Thailand in their hundred of thousands. It’s mostly the retired and the rich that come out here. Kenya is an exotic destination designed for… the rich and famous as their playground ma’friend.

The ministry of tourism ignores a very important niche market: the domestic market. Why would a regular outsider want to visit Kenya when Kenyans themselves aren’t posting weekly photos of how awesome their country is?

Domestic tourism has been picking up lately. It’s perhaps the only thing that is keeping local tourism industry afloat lately.

Obviously the niche tourism market for the rich and famous Kenya is offering is not working or is it? Tourism has evolved and most tourists from anywhere in the world are looking for the best value for their money. Kenya is not offering that good value at the moment. It’s too expensive to do business here with too many greedy business people who always strive to make 100% profit in complete disregard of good business logic.

Our transport system is what we need to seriously look into, the only way to travel safely and comfortably here is by private means. Security especially around nairobi is also a hindrance not to mention accomodation in these resorts owned by the who and who isn’t for hoi poloi. If we can have good public vehicles that offer safaris from major towns to national parks and back maybe it would be cheaper.
