Stop derailing the thread from this sombre matter.
This scene is meant to be a continuation of their first fight from the film : Next Friday, which came out in the year 2000.
In Next Friday, the scene was laid back and funny, but in this new film Epps brings out a very mean character as concerns Black American and African relations.
Wewe sometimes you are convoluted in your percepions of life. On top of annointing white people over blacks. There is nothing like Black American and African relations. We are just black. Start with how come you have to emphasize Black American? Why does black have to have American behind it. You never say White American. Or Hispanic American. Ehh. Asian American. And Chinese from China are how many there? Indian?
Michael Blackson! Yeah that nigga always been funny AF. He was born & raised in West Africa …so obviously his African accent is very aunthentic. Plus he’s exxergerated that accent in that clip … that’s not how he talks in real life. Funny guy tho’ …funny kabisa.
FYI many African Americans are dropping the word African juu ina ushamba. They want to go back to being called black Americans.
They are the ones who asked to be called African Americans.
In the 60s and 70s they were called BLACKS and they didn’t like it because it had racial connotations. In came the term African Americans which they chose themselves.
But now they feel the word is too “AFRICAN” and they don’t like it.
musikosee wenzenu heshima, let them be americans.I tell people i was born in California, then they “oh wow” the bullshit, but do you think my next sentence would be “pale pumwani”? no:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D feels nice sometimes you know https://i.imgur.com/PnOjxL3.png
Watched the video. Micheal Blackson makes his living portraying himself as a dark skinned African. This is just a skit bana. Schwarzeneggar doesnt kill people in real life. But reading your posts, I can tell ulifaka hapo Minneapolis in the 90s or 2000s. And probably doing good for yourself. But there is a whole bunch about Black Race relations you simply dont understand. Specifically what happened before you got there. And how it affects things now.
The love-hate relationship between Africans and ‘African Americans’ always puzzles me. Here is a short clip from Arie Spears as he talks about Africans. You can tell hao African Americans hudharau Waafrika sana
And the difference is he doesn’t want to be grouped with lowly Africans. But in the 1970s his parents wanted to be called African Americans and not blacks.
