An African American talking to a kawaida African.

@Tony254 hebu kuja kidogo. :D:D

There’s this parody, comedy horror film called Meet The Blacks, sijui kama umeiona. Sio Oscar worthy material ni ya kupass time tu. Hata sijaimaliza.

Anyway it stars Mike Epps and a bunch of other black American celebs.

There’s this scene at the beginning of the film where Epps’ character addresses an ‘African fellow’. Walikuwa na beef fulani ya kibiashara.

Epps’ character messed up the wiring in the African dude’s restaurant in Chicago.

And Epps’s character is extremely condescending to a point of being racist to the African fellow.

This may be a comedy film but it hits close to home about how your beloved African Americans think of ordinary Africans.

Epps starts by calling our African dude, Ceaser, the ape from Planet of the Apes…

And apparently we have Ebola in our fingers.

Hahaha Michael Blackson! This dude was funny at the apollo and then that was it…and now this. You beach neega

Mayolo tings @Purple @Nattydread @Amused @Swansea , @ other ghasia come over and solve your problems.

Stop derailing the thread from this sombre matter.

This scene is meant to be a continuation of their first fight from the film : Next Friday, which came out in the year 2000.

In Next Friday, the scene was laid back and funny, but in this new film Epps brings out a very mean character as concerns Black American and African relations.

Wewe sometimes you are convoluted in your percepions of life. On top of annointing white people over blacks. There is nothing like Black American and African relations. We are just black. Start with how come you have to emphasize Black American? Why does black have to have American behind it. You never say White American. Or Hispanic American. Ehh. Asian American. And Chinese from China are how many there? Indian?

Huyu rafiki yako huwa na shida. Hii ndio shida ya kutafutia makanga visa.

Michael Blackson! Yeah that nigga always been funny AF. He was born & raised in West Africa …so obviously his African accent is very aunthentic. Plus he’s exxergerated that accent in that clip … that’s not how he talks in real life. Funny guy tho’ …funny kabisa.

Tafuteni pesa ya bundles mwuone video mwache kuongea vitu za kishenzi hapa. Najua hata hamjaona video ni kuropoka ropoka tu kama kawaida.

FYI many African Americans are dropping the word African juu ina ushamba. They want to go back to being called black Americans.

They are the ones who asked to be called African Americans.

In the 60s and 70s they were called BLACKS and they didn’t like it because it had racial connotations. In came the term African Americans which they chose themselves.

But now they feel the word is too “AFRICAN” and they don’t like it.

And then some Africans living in the U.S are starting to call themselves African Americans. They are not wrong because they are from Africa.

Now that really pisses off black Americans. :D:D:D

That really pisses them off proper.

Some Caribbeans are starting to do it too in govt. forms.

That is where @Tony254 comes in when he says black Americans were in the U.S first ati wapewe heshima… :D:D:D

An ignorant African right there. And we are supposed to be all black…

60s and 70s another term was used. US Race relations is not your forte.

In that video I have posted which you have not watched because you NEVER watch or read anything ni comment tu unapenda kuandika, for the sake of it…

In that video above does Mike Epps give you the impression that at any point he would like to be associated with Africans?!

He is already calling the African guy an ape!

And he even proceeds to make fun of African leaders with African names : Desmond Tutu, Idi Amin.

musikosee wenzenu heshima, let them be americans.I tell people i was born in California, then they “oh wow” the bullshit, but do you think my next sentence would be “pale pumwani”? no:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D feels nice sometimes you know

Watched the video. Micheal Blackson makes his living portraying himself as a dark skinned African. This is just a skit bana. Schwarzeneggar doesnt kill people in real life. But reading your posts, I can tell ulifaka hapo Minneapolis  in the 90s or 2000s. And probably doing good for yourself. But there is a whole bunch about Black Race relations you simply dont understand. Specifically what happened before you got there. And how it affects things now.

Hebu kwanza juu wewe unajifanya hapa Professor of African American Studies, hata umekanyaga hio U.S wewe ama ni kutroll tu kama kawa?

Unajua U.S juu unaona CNN…

Hata unajua ndege za kuenda U.S huwa zinapandiwa wapi?!

Hata unajua U.S iko upande gani ya map?!

Hata umewai ona black American na macho live live… sio kwa movie… na macho?

Ktalk Professors of African American Relations.

“There is a lot you don’t understand about the U.S…” :D:D:D

Na yule anakwambia hivyo ako Kinoo ama Kinungi. Ama Muchatha. Ama pale Kimilili. Ama bedsitter pale Ruaka.

The love-hate relationship between Africans and ‘African Americans’ always puzzles me. Here is a short clip from Arie Spears as he talks about Africans. You can tell hao African Americans hudharau Waafrika sana

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c26TEYXgLyQ

Na nikikuambia my family members ni black American, utasema? Huwaona kwa giza?
Some of this info high School kids know. No need to be a prof.

Of course, you have African American relatives… :D:D

Na unajua proof hapo siwezi itisha.

Stop calling me ‘African-American’ — I’m Black

And the difference is he doesn’t want to be grouped with lowly Africans. But in the 1970s his parents wanted to be called African Americans and not blacks.
