AMD vs INTEL

I’ve being using intel for the longest time. A friend of mine is telling me to purchase AMD which according to him, it’s cheaper and better in performance compared to intel. What’s your view on this

Intel chips from 7th gen have improved very little. With AMD you get bang for your bucks. Plus PCIe 4, SMA, higher core counts. Get the B550 motherboard and later.

So, between i3 seventh gen and the attached, which would you recommend?

For this case it would be better to get an Intel . Thought it would be a recent AMD Ryzen series.

I can’t find A6-9440 APU details anywhere.
That machine is overpriced considering it’s ex-UK /refurb.
Enda pale Brimat next to Stewan computers. You will get a decent HP 97xxx series 14", 1080p, backlit keyboard, i5-i7 6th to 7th gen intel with a128gb ssd or 500gb hdd at a maximum of 25k. Shop around those shops and bargain.

Thanks Sana bro. Acha niwacheki

In 2020 the best AMD CPU is the Threadripper or Threadripper Pro, heri uendeee intel from 8th generation and above if you cant get a Threadripper.
Make sure it also has Nvidia Geforce graphics card. Dont buy a laptop or desktop in 2020 without a graphics card…

stay away from AMD legacy chips.

best combo- intel cpu and nvidia gpu.

Bad deal, do not buy amd a series, if you can get r5 and above great, else i5 8th gen is cheap these days

Had a bad experience with a laptop with amd processor and hated their processors since then but maybe it’s was the laptop manufacturer’s fault. However, intel chips from i5 6th generation upwards have never disappointed even when under heavy usage in processing power.

I settled for a refurbished intel i5 6thgen 8gb 256ssd.

So far so good, it’s speed is super good

and now vs ARM. X86 to the dustbins of tech history.
