Most politicians hujenga hotels with the proceeds of corruption. It is a very popular investment among them. Several millions later, they realize that there is a big difference between being a guest at a five-star hotel, and actually owning the hotel.

In reality, the hotel business is good for politicians. They can influence all the organizations e.g. NGOs “partnering” with GoK in their regions to hold conferences and training in those hotels. Secondly, it is easy to use the hotel to sanitize proceeds of corruption so hata wenzako wanakupeanga biz ya ku-sanitize mbeca. Shida huwa when their influence in the said regions reduces, hapo ndio utajua there is nothing like hotel marketing it’s all about kujuana.
