Been tossing for the last 30 minutes, have given up on sleep. Nimeamka kutengeneza kahawa black, read and get some work done. Meanwhile interesting news unraveling at Uber after Travis Kalanick was essentially fired as CEO, mark register.
And also follow up on the Qualcomm vs Apple case, Apple doesn’t want to pay licence fee on Qualcomm patents, will be interesting to see how things pan out. Kalanick had to go when you have venture capitalist like Fidelity etc that have invested heavily in Uber.

The corporate culture cultivated of discrimination, misogyny, harassment lead by none other than Travis, the decision was easy for a company that is valued at $70 billion.

They don’t even churn a profit, it was a tech start up, investors got to recoup before the ship sinks. It’s just a matter of time before regulators catch up. Hapa hapana Kenya where you can harass women, discriminate etc in the workplace and get away with it.

Read Eric Holder’s (former US Attorney General) findings on Uber and his recommendations.

Insomnia kicked in from around 3 am. I resisted the urge to reach out for my device but boredom brought me here. Bored in bed, that’s terrible.

Wonder what is the average eyes to screen time for most people, gather must be less than 2 minutes

They are looking for a CEO with people skills, Facebook COO Cheryl is being rumored about but don’t think she’d jump ship. TK was all about numbers and efficiency above everything else and that’s what got uber to what it is now. Tried to dodge Apple’s privacy conditions and think they were threatened it would be yanked from the app store
