Al shaboobs again?

KDF troops caught in ambush killed 21 Al-Shabaab militants in a shootout in, Afmadhow area, Lower Juba Region in Somalia and recovered weapons.

Officials said two KDF personnel were also killed in the clash that happened on Saturday afternoon. Five other KDF personnel were injured and airlifted for medical attention. This was after their lorry was hit by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).

The troops recovered 19 AK47 rifles, three rocket propelled grenades (RPGs) and a pistol, spokesman Col David Obonyo said.

conflicting reports…another has it that four soldiers were killed and two APCs decommissioned.

When policy makers realise that SNA, the Somalis and their government do not want KDF soldiers in Somalia the better for our service men.

conundrum

maybe it would help if say…a theoretical benevolent entity were to surreptitiously drop a plane load of heavy weaponry in the middle of their country…
and perhaps a blastproof barrier of some sort erected between us and them
and we were to withdraw from Somalia…
and maybe allocated a fraction of our national budget towards the acquisition of corn…the variety that pops when subjected to high temperatures…
I wonder…
