The lure of ‘nominations’ cash is too sweet to resist, and any mention of democracy is just lip-service. Now that the millions are in and certificates issued to the highest bidders (the rest loose it just like that!!), there will be manyunyu ya hapo na pale from disgruntled losers (Ongoro, Woriah wa South C, and now Ms. Jumwa).
What usually happens is factored in: a few defections to alternative parties, a few are too valuable and are placated by reversing the ‘direct nomination’, while others simply accept that they gambled and lost. JaKuon stays out of the fray until all these symptoms have been handled.
Nominations are usually a headache for many parties, hata the likes of Sonko are threatening to leave TNA and indeed many big names will leave lakini chama itasimama. To make it in ODM you need to be both popular and loaded since popularity alone wont run party affairs and remunerate baba. True, let this be a lesson to others as well including some here. Babuon doesn’t give a damn that you are his loudest cheerleader and supporter. Loyalty for him is only one way. If someone comes calling with more money, you are done, dropped and forgotten.
