Gibraltar International Airport or North Front Airport (IATA: GIB, ICAO: LXGB) is the civilian airport that serves the British overseas territory of Gibraltar. The runway is owned by the Ministry of Defence for use by the Royal Air Force as RAF Gibraltar. Civilian operators use the civilian-operated terminal. National Air Traffic Services hold the contract for provision of air navigation services at the airport.

Winston Churchill Avenue (the main road heading towards the land border with Spain) intersects the airport runway, and consequently has to be closed every time a plane lands or departs. Second pic., you can see the border with spain pale back ground.
But it won’t stay like this for long, they are already building a tunnel at the head of the runway that would enable vehicular traffic to circumvent the runway

A foothold in the Med for strategic purposes such as resupply for ships, a forward operating base for launching missions e.t.c

Iko video game mtu huambiwa afly ndege from such a runway, saw it on a child’s Tecno boom

Saw this back in 1994

1994 I was putting my hand over my head, lucky me nliguza sikio…

In world war 2 Britain successfully used the Rock to control all ships that entered the mediterranean sea. The Germans knew that any of its ships would be blown up if it even came close. Now since britain exited europe expect Spain to start demanding its territory back.

It is curious how they are driving on the right, Gibraltar being a British territory!

Ahaa! I got the answer!
