Ageing Lingala musicians have never been invited to attend a BET award ceremony like the young Burna boy. Theres Black American music, African music, Jamaican music…all black , but different styles. Record companies are just trying to make money. You make good music it will sell. I will be the first one to ask you why Africa doesn’t have their own Grammy. You very well know that event is rigged. Drake won a Grammy for rap yet he himself said the song wasn’t a rap song.

The point wasn’t that there aren’t any awards in Africa but rather the curious attention African artistes have suddenly been getting after the Trump win. Black American artistes and their liberal handlers trying very hard to associate with Africans.

I think that they were afraid that Trump might acually make some in roads in Africa.
