I will never ever attend an African live concert. Its pathetic. Full of theatrics and lips sync. I appreciate their work but i can only show my support by watching their work on Youtube only or club mix. Will never attend their live show. I have been to many live shows but only if they have a live band on stage. Utanipata nikisikiza local bands ya Mugithi, Kalenjin or Kamba bands before i tend the CD play back lips synching maniacs. Thats why napenda Reggae. Nimeenda show za dobah where the live music was sweeter than even on the radio playback. Am not a hater but am just saying. Hawa African artists most of them can’t even play a musical instrument. How do we support such. Afadhali nikule ngoma kwa church penye naona jamaa akifinya piano na mwingine akipiga drums. End of my rant
A few things to consider:
Most artists are good at recording in the studio and only perform to popularise what was recorded.
Performance arts is a whole other thing, and few master it.
Tafuta live performance yeyote ya MJ pale youtube, utajua kwanini huyo jamaa aliitwa King of pop. Hapo ata utasema hawa artists ni appearance wao hufanya.
The only reason I don’t go to concerts: You literally stand up for hours in a crowded place. You literally can’t move left or right without stepping on someone’s toes.
Alafu MC anakaa akisema “mikono juu”…“wapi nduru ya”.
Toxic masculinity yangu haezi kubali nipige nduru ati juu kuna mwanaume mwingine kwa stage. Mimi ata naeza patana na Beyonce na nimpite nikama simjui.
Naija artist just keep giving countdowns while performing… kwanza ile ya Davido, i should have eaten mtush with that money.
Ulichoma pesa kizee.
In Europe they perform with a band.
Real nigga. A man of culture.
Kweli kabisar.
