Africa has Just Unveiled the New Basketball Africa League ‘BAL’ Logo
On the sidelines of the third day of the group stage of the Elite 16 tournament in Kigali (East Division), Fiba Africa and NBA unveiled the
logo of the Basketball Africa League.
The fruit of collaboration between the African organization and the American giant, the BAL replaces the African Cup of champion clubs.
With the ambition to bring higher competition and significant financial spinoffs to clubs.
The BAL is disputed in several phases. A first qualifier which commits 32 African clubs. Then an Elite 16 phase. Before the regular
season, which involves 12 clubs, including 6 from Elite 16. This year, the regular season is contested in Kigali.
The BAL thus has its logo which takes as a feature the codes of the logo of the NBA. With some red, green and yellow colors.
It is unveiled in the presence of President Paul Kagame, FIBA Africa managers and Amadou Gallo Fall, President of NBA Africa
