If your account has an overdraft facility, the available balance is the amount you can withdral or transfer before reaching that maximum overdraft.
Check whether you now have a negative balance after chopping that 5k, na ujue the interest is steeper than 42 Hill in Pangani.
I do not have overdraft faclitity. Nlishidwa sana. The lady at the reception called my bank branch and explained to them. No tangible answer given.
Some time last year KCB showed uncleared balance of 2k in my account for over 4 months. Tried getting any explanations from them but the buggers didnāt have any meaningful explanation.
I wonder what is wrong with these banks.
Hio screenshot ni ya Equitel and it means you had sh14,920 in the acc and you made a withdrawal of sh20,000 which has not been effected yet
i thought actual balance ni ile pesa yote iko kwa account and available ni ile pesa unaeza withdraw
Available balance= liquid cash u can withdraw before deducting withdrawal charges, in your case u have a debit (negative) balance/overdrawn, it could be cummulative bank charges or an overdraft/soft short term loan you pocketed or a combination of both an overdraft and cummulative bank charges.
Book balance = withdrawable balance+minimum acc. balance required+uncleared or unliquidated cheques.
Naona unasema hukua unaexpect any cheque, then definitely somebody credited ur account with some funds (could be an uncleared cheque/eft), could also be bank interest income, KRA tax refund (yes) etcā¦or some generous relative huko mayuu.
I went back to the customer care and they called my branch manager once again. He has no idea what is that. Anadai itās the first case kuona. Majamaa wa cheque nmeambiwa ka ni cheque ingekuwa inaonekana. I am not allowed for overdraft too.
Acha kwanza nichangamkie zenye zmebaki. This is a MIRACLE:rolleyes:
Hiyo MIRACLE wamekwambia utalipa na interest ngapi coz that is an overdraft you have there
I would stop using that money until it is clear where it originates from. Banks, like casinos, do not āloseā money.
They do lose money in unperforming loans
