34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn
“‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[a]
37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
Put on a character of humility, patience and long suffering. It is not about who is right or wrong but rather what is right and wrong. Patiently and with love do what is right till the world around you sees the light in you and God corrects them through you.
As a Christian you will be misunderstood, thought to be stupid and not quick to take the low hanging fruits. You do good and those around you interpret it as weakeness and trying hard please. Yet you are still required to do what is right anyway, this is long suffering.
Do not be quick to judge those who do wrong, it is not your job, leave it to God. That is patience.
Stop working hard to put a show of how good or righteous you are, how you are a good performer, but fulfill your duties deligently and let God have the glory. That is being humble.
