A Sunday message to Christians especially in Kenya

One of the most adorable things in life is being a believer. It is so good that people have made business and merchandise of those who yearn for Christ’s beauty in their lives and Christ healing and love in their lives and the midst of their problems.

As a person who was raised in a household where though my father did not go to church himself he almost drove us with a whip to be baptised and never to miss church, I know the importance we Christians place in the church. My parents ensured that we attended Christian schools up to university level and it paid off. While those who went to secular schools were languishing in drugs and other ills we were spared. Others died and others were in teenage pregnancies we were spares.

I have been to many churches in search of God and let me tell you my fellow believers that church is a place to fellowship with fellow believers not a place to outsource your relationship with God. You MUST have a personal relationship with God. You must pray and read the Bible for yourself. I admit that a relationship with God is very high maintenence with all the things of these world we have to deal with. It’s hard.

Christianity is the only religion where you don’t have to follow rituals like praying in specific positions and times. Christianity is the only faith where you can be in a moslem country never leave your boss’s house, not have a church near you and God meets you right where you are. Ask Christians in countries where Christianity is illegal and you can be killed for owning a Bible. They are the strongest Christians with the strongest faith. God reveals Himself more in those godless places than in the Vatican or Jerusalem.

I will admit that I am not exempt from reverence of spiritual leaders. I however over the years have realised that all a believer needs is the Holy Spirit, personal communion with God and to really read the Bible because guess what? The Bible has all the answers. Especially the four gospels. Jesus warns His followers not to call Him good out of the humility He had to His Father who sent Him to deliver the captives. No one is good except God, Jesus Himself said when they tried calling Him good. So worshipping a pastor is not what Jesus entertained. Instead Jesus washed His disciples feet. Where is this humility in our church leaders who have turned their congregants into their personal slaves? Jesus tells us not to call anyone Father, for you have only one Father who is in heaven. So Father Wamuguda and Papa, Momma, Dad, Mum titles go against the teachings of Christ.

If you actually read the Bible you would know that there is no special place where God resides. God doesn’t reside at the wailing wall. God doesn’t reside in prayer mountains. You can go to a prayer center to separate yourself from others if you can’t do it at home. You can take time away from your busy schedule to seek God’s face in prayer mountain or centers but you will still be heard if you pray at home or in a local church. Remember the story of the Samaritan woman and what Jesus told her about mountains and holy places. Let me start quoting those scriptures so that you don’t think that I’m making up these things from my own mind.

John 4

19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”
21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Jesus goes further to tell His followers the signs of false prophets and leaders in the age to come. He dedicated an entire chapter to this yet most Christians have never read this chapter and used it as a measure of the church leaders they sit under. Again, let’s go back to the Word of God because everything will pass away except the Word of God and God has exalted His Word above His name. How do you claim to follow Christ but His Word is far from you?

Mathew 23
23 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, 2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 Therefore whatever they tell you [a]to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. 4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 5 But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. 6 They love the [b]best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, 7 greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’ 8 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your [c]Teacher, [d]the Christ, and you are all brethren. 9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. 11 But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whoever exalts himself will be [e]humbled, and he who humbles himself will be [f]exalted.
13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. 14 [g]Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.
15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of [h]hell as yourselves.
16 “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obliged to perform it.’ 17 Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that [i]sanctifies the gold? 18 And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obliged to perform it.’ 19 Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift? 20 Therefore he who [j]swears by the altar, swears by it and by all things on it. 21 He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by Him who [k]dwells in it. 22 And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits on it.
23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. 24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!
25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and [l]self-indulgence. 26 Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.
27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
29 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and [m]adorn the monuments of the righteous, 30 and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’
31 “Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. 33 Serpents, brood[n] of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? 34 Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, 35 that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

More to this the Lord warns us of the dark days filled with hardships and calamities of every kind when the false prophets will do great miracles and deceive even the very elect of God. Team Mackenzie and going to hide yourself in the wilderness to meet Jesus there and separate yourself to fast to death. It’s very clear that you should not follow those telling you that Christ is here or there. In Shakahola or in a commune or bunker like the ones prepared by doomsday preppers, understand that the rapture will not leave behind any believer ati bcz you didn’t go to secluded places to hide from the mark of the beast or Huduma number and Covid vaccine. Nobody knows when Jesus will return and if you just took the time you spend listening to fake preachers you would know that. False Christs like Yesu wa Tongaren. False teachers who tell you that you will be left behind if you don’t go to Shakahola or some other place to wait for Jesus

Mathew 24

At that time if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ!' or, There he is!’ do not believe it.24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect–if that were possible.25See, I have told you ahead of time.26"So if anyone tells you, There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.

35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.36"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, [6] but only the Father.37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.42"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

Now, lately there has been a very legalistic wave in the Church. Don’t use makeup, don’t eat this and that, don’t, don’t, don’t and if you do you are going to hell. Don’t have sex with your spouse, don’t get married, cover your hair, don’t wear jewelry, don’t wear high heels.

1 Timothy 4

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Things are bad and now is the time to look to God Himself to know the truth. We took the case of the Magu family as a strange occurrence, that he was seduced by a prophetess who bewitched him and he destroyed his entire posterity so that she could gain his wealth. The painful thing was that he went to T. B Joshua’s synagogue of Satan for help so many times and he got none. He was also a member of FEM church but they did not help him either.

Indeed some years later we are looking at a similar calamity where 1,500 Christians are feared dead and buried in the middle of a forest. I know as a Christian that nothing happens with out a reason. God is exposing through the endless stories of clergy sexually molesting children and women seeking help. We have heard these stories so many times yet we just continue with church as usual. This is the time for every believer to pay attention. Satan is in the church. Your beloved pastor is not above Satan’s wiles. If Satan could enter Peter, Jesus most loved disciple, who is your pastor or bishop. It’s time to find God by ourselves because God has promised in His Word that whoever will look for Him with his/ her whole heart will find Him. Not whoever worships the bishop but whoever seeks God by Himself. These go betweens we love are now extremely dangerous. God is making it clear that He is tired of brokers destruction of His church bcz Christians are too lazy to seek God for themselves. If nobody will make perishable money for you, who will take you to heaven the eternal abode? Seek God for yourself. Rely on the Holy Spirit. Never deify any human being coming in the name of God. You have one Father and He is in heaven and in your heart if you let Him in.

Its a wake up call for me as well. I have had to let go of my addiction to pastors with their revelations and I still struggle to go read my Bible rather than listen to a Christian channels preaching but we must grow up and stop suckling. And growing up spiritually is one of the hardest yet most fulfilling path to follow. Have a blessed Sunday and sorry for the long post but I believe it will minister to someone under the heel of pastoral addiction and over reliance and brainwashing. Please jitafutie Mungu. Pray by yourself. Read the Bible by yourself. Minister to other people in any way God leads you because the time to suckle is over, you are a soldier in the army, take up your cross daily and follow Jesus not papa, mama, bishop, Reverend, prophetess. Follow Jesus for He is the author and the finisher of our faith. Nobody can do this work for you. You have to Ngangana to work out your salvation, your individual walk with Christ. Be blessed. Jesus is Lord. Amen.

John 15:15

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

I don’t ascribe to this victim narratives. Who sold the Arabs slaves coz they were too weak to enter hinterland and hunt for slaves. So can we discuss who captured the slaves and handed them over to Arabs?

@TrumanCapote, what’s your understanding of the altar in the current dispensation

An altar generally is a place of sacrifice and a power point to draw spiritual and supernatural strength.

An altar in Christianity is a place of sacrifice, sanctification, covenant and meeting with God. In the old testament God’s presence came to altars and went but after Jesus death and resurrection, the Holy Spirit inhabited believers full time as their body became the altar. The same thing is mirrored by witch doctors who use animals for sacrifice and they have altars like stone altars, pentagrams, huts and shrines to evoke demons. Satan just copies the design of God. The elements of the altar now are sacrifice, repentance, sanctification, rededication, adoration and petition.

Offer your body as a living sacrifice for your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. In the old testament God told Moses to design the meeting place of God and the Israelites. The tabernacle. He designed as the outer courts, the holy place and the holy of holies. Now the outer court is the body, the holy place is the soul and the holy of holies is the Spirit since man is a triune being created in the image of God. God’s presence APPEARED in the holy of holies, where the ark of the covenant lay. Now God’s presence DWELLS in the spirit of men in form of the Holy Spirit. If you remember a man who saw the ark of the covenant about to fall and he tried to touch it and died. The holy of holies had 4 pillars which held up the ark of the covenant and the veil of covering. This area was the altar which only levites would acess after sanctifying themselves. If they didn’t they would die in the holy of holies and their bodies would be dragged out by a rope tied on their leg.

That was the altar in the old testament as God instructed Moses to build after the pattern in heaven. The mercy seat in the holy of holies was sprinkled with blood of animals prescribed to absolve people from their sins in the Old testament .

God also instructed Abraham, Jacob, Moses and many others where to build altars to offer up sacrifice and make covenants with or receive from God . Usually on mountains like Mount Moriah where Abraham was instructed to offer his only son of promise Isaac. Abraham then had a revelation about God as Jehovah Jireh as God provided the lamb of sacrifice in a fore shadowing of how God would offer His only begotten Son Jesus on Calvary later. Abraham proclaimed on this mountain the Lord shall provide. Mount Elba where Joshua built an altar as per Moses instructions. Jacob built an altar at Penuel where he struggled with an angel all night though it was not a mountain.

Mount Gerizim was an altar for the Samaritans as told by the Samaritan woman at the well because Moses, in his tenth commandment, ordered them to protect it as a sacred mountain and worship on it by making pilgrimages to it three times a year.

Things changed after Jesus death and resurrection. Matthew 27:51 says, “Behold, the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent.” This curtain separated the second room called the Holy of Holies from the first room, the Holy Place. So we as believers don’t need to go to certain places, mountains, levites/priests as we are now not just the altar but the dwelling place of God. That is why we are called Kings and Priests of our God as Jesus was on earth so are we. We represent His authority as the King of Kings and His priesthood as intercessors.

Look at this prayer to learn more bcz it is a wide topic.
