The Alur are a tribe in Uganda that live primarily in the Nebbi , Zombo , Pakwach , and Arua districts.
The Alur traditionally migrated from southern Sudan along the Nile with other Luo people. Their original homeland is said to have been Rumbek, where the Nile and the Bahr-el-Ghazel rivers meet.
