Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta (right in accompanying image), President of the Republic of Kenya, and William Samoei Ruto (left in accompanying image), Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya. Have both men accepted to play ball with the West, to conform to each and every wish of the West, in return for their freedom, and to ensure that their pending cases at the International Criminal Court (ICC), are never revived? Charges against both men, we need to remember, were dropped but both men were not acquitted, so both their matters are still pending at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Kenya is primarily run from six different locations in the world i.e. the White House, USA, the State Department, USA, the Defence Department, USA, the European Union (EU) Headquarters, Brussels, Belgium, No. 10 Downing Street in the United Kingdom i.e. the official residence of the British Prime Minister, and the British Foreign Office in the United Kingdom i.e. Kenya takes instructions from all six locations, and we better, otherwise “the skies over Kenya will be illuminated,” to borrow that famous phrase by CNN’s Bernard Shaw i.e. “the skies over Baghdad have been illuminated,” describing the bombs and missiles that were unleashed in Iraq by the Americans at the start of the First Gulf War in January 1991. China is not a factor, and China is not one of the locations that Kenya reports to per se, because modern China was created by American capital/finances, American technology, American expertise & American knowhow, something that dates back to 1972, and the high profile visit then to China by then US President Richard Nixon.

One of the reasons that the West is now in a catastrophic economic mess is the high massive rate at which the West has over the last 80 years become a high net producer of goods & services, good and services that have not been absorbed by either populations in the West or populations globally, as a result of which the supply of goods & services far outstrips demand, despite the onset of George Bush Senior’s “New World Order” i.e. Globalisation.

The global economy is in a desperate situation, heavily in debt and at a tipping point. The said goods & services were generated using heavy borrowings from banks and other financial institutions, heavy borrowings that remain outstanding and unpaid.

The need to get “as many customers as possible globally” is in fact one of the reasons that Africa other parts of world gradually move from colonialism to independence between 1947 & 1994 i.e. to get as many people in former colonies who were marginalised and on the fringes of society & the economy, onto the main economic grid, to actively begin engaging in the purchase of goods & services e.g. consumer goods & services like cars, fridges, cookers, cooking oil, margarine, electricity & telephone services. The transition from colonialism to independence in many parts of the world had more to do with economics rather than anything else, and desegretation too in the United States, had more to do with economics rather than anything else i.e. “the economics of expanded food chains.”

The trend globally to get as many people on the economic grid i.e. “The economics of big enterprise” continues unabated and continues to be repackaged & thrust down the throats of all Third World countries, repackaging over the years that has taken the form of e.g. Structural Adjustment Programmes (SAPs), Globalisation, Liberalisation & Millenium Development Goals (MDGs).

Kenya is in the throes of this repackaging hence our adoption of giant economic modules that make no sense and that do not cater for the needs of the general Kenyan populace e.g. the Standard Guage Railway (SGR), the last mile electricity project, the laptops and tablets for Kenyan primary school children, many of whom (i.e. Kenyan primary school children), lack basics like desks, seats and classrooms, the Beyond Zero Health Programme, the Lamu Port South Sudan Ethiopia Transport Corridor (LAPSSET), Inland Dry Ports, Devolution, the Busia One Stop Border Point, the Mandera One Stop Border Point & the Moyale One Stop Border Point.

These are huge massive unwieldy projects that continue to fail miserably in translating returns to the general polulace in Kenya. On the one hand, we have a Standard Guage Railway (SGR), and on the other, Kenya is now in the midst of a worsening drought where many Kenyans are facing starvation. On the one hand we have the ongoing construction of the Lamu Port South Sudan Ethiopia Transport Corridor (LAPSSET), and on the other, we have the continued growth of informal settlements/slums in Kenya. On the one hand we have the much hailed last mile electricity project, and on the other hand basics such as sanitation are badly lacking in Kenya. On the one hand Kenya has just adopted a whole new education system that has seen massive recruitment of students at primary school level & secondary school level, and on the other, the job market has not grown proportionally and is in shambles & regression.

There is no effort in Kenya whatsoever to adopt policies that will revamp Kenya, and create & spread opportunities to the general populace. Rather than create opportunities across the board in Kenya, the Kenya Government under the stewardship of both men in accompanying image, is primarily ensuring that we have voters’cards & what is being referred to as “Huduma Numbers”

Kenyans do not have jobs, opportunities, food or shelter, but we actively have voters’ cards & “Huduma Numbers.” There is massive recruitment at all levels of Kenyan formal educational institutions, yet we now have Cuban doctors in Kenya, Chinese engineers building our infrastructure, and a “Queen’s Counsel” from the United Kingdom who has been hired to oversee certain operations at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). On a related note and in recent years, Kenya has imported Brazilian sugar as the Kenyan sugar industry continues to capitulate, and Kenya too has imported Mexican maizemeal, as Kenyan maize farmers continue to lament about their worsening predicament.

Who is addressing these and other transgressions in Kenya? Is there really a Government in Kenya? And for that matter, is there also really an Opposition in Kenya? In the face of regression & worsening desperation, the Kenya Government has now even introduced an unjustifiable Housing levy tax to all employees on a payroll in Kenya. There has been no real growth or no real tangible spread of opportunities in Kenya & across Kenya over the last 17 years to justify further taxation of the general Kenyan populace.

Kenya is truly in the throes of regression and a worsening nightmare. We have run out of ideas & the will to build homegrown self-reliance and homegrown short & long term development in Kenya. The irony is that Independent Kenya is far more worse off then Colonial Kenya, vindicating in a sense, the saying “Better the devil you know, than the angel you do not know.”

Both men in the accompanying image i.e. the President & Deputy President of Kenya, continue to preside over one of the darkest chapters of Kenyan history, clearly unquestioningly accepting “lock, stock & barrel,” “hook, line and sinker,” all and any scripts handed down to them by the White House, USA, the State Department, USA, the Defence Department, USA, the European Union (EU) Headquarters, Brussels, Belgium, No. 10 Downing Street in the United Kingdom i.e. the official residence of the British Prime Minister, and the British Foreign Office in the United Kingdom, in return for their continued freedom and not having to appear again at the International Criminal Court (ICC). They are not leaders, and neither are they partriots, but sell-outs & self-seekers in office for self-preservation.

Yet another day, yet another detailed social media rant!
