The most successful dairy farmers are the ones in New Zealand and they milk their cows in the morning then let the cows out in the field to graze the whole day, then the cows are milked in the evening. That way the cows spend the whole day looking for their own food, turning the grass to milk, and the farmer harvests the milk in the evening and morning. That way the cows are the slaves to the farmer not the other way round where the farmer spends endless hours foraging for the cows.
He should change his cow’s nutrition needs. 5 litres is too little. Maybe if he can atleast get 12L, it would be better. I wouldn’t say one cow is slavery. I had one cow and now have 5 from that one
Nowadays farmers are using silage to feed cows. It’s time saving and increases milk production. Mambo ya kukatia ng’ombe thaara na hurubaro ya Ruto imepitwa na wakati. Advice your friend to learn about preparation of silage.
:D:D:D:D… funny and true, but you also need a huge farm…how many people can afford to have such huge farms ??
that is why most small scale holders use zero-grazing…
