Yesterday went for normal service at shell and the mech requested to check this oil(nd oil 8) levels and apon doing test he advised i need to add. I haven’t known anything like this. He told me they sell it there and use the same machine to fill it up with. Any advice from anyone who has done this? Any recommended oil to use? Thanks
AC ya gari inafanya and have you ever refilled it?
Sijui
A/c inafanya vizuri sana na sijawairefil
Kama ina fanya… Wachana nayo…
Unless you are servicing your ac pump usimess na nd oil 8.
When servicing an ac pump the workshop may open the drain plug on the pump, pour out the nd oil 8 (or 12) and refill it.
Na hiyo enye nliambiwa iko low? The mech said itaharibu pump nisiposhughulikia. Am not sure kaa ni ukweli ama alikua anitoanishe
Personally I avoid those petrol stations service requests completely. I stick to my loyal mech who is the only person who works on my car. For your situation, “if it ain’t broken dont fix it.”
Hio jama anataka kukuuzia vitu u dont need. Oil is put in at the time of refilling and will last till the nxt refill. Achana nayo
As far as that is concerned all I can say is that it is usually introduced to the system via the HIGH PRESSURE PORT with the assistance of a suction pump. It involves temoving the valve on the port. No one messes with high pressure port unless they know what they are doing. There are some small glassy thingys for checking oil level. They look like plugs and they contain white cotton wool or felt inside and a tip on one end. You press the tip end of the kaplug on the high pressure port valve and the oil sprays through the valve into the felt/cotton. You observe colour and level. If it is low, or dirty, get a qualified ac guy to advise you.
Do not touch your AC system boss!! If it is working, tell that technician to go drown in Nairobi river. There is no way to measure the oil in the AC system, we only add oil if replacing a component. If in doubt come see me. I do AC systems
Thanks soo much!
A/c oil is added when installing a new compressor. Most of them come filled with oil. Sijawai sikia about oil being added unless ni Freon anasema
Inakaa alikua anitoanishe tu,nmeamua niangaliliwe na specialist this coming weekend.
