A 71-year-old homeless Kenyan man has passed away in the United States after spending about 50 years in North America.
Officials at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia confirmed that Timothy Majanja was admitted at the facility after being driven there in an ambulance and in critical condition. He however died after being put in a life support machine.

A 67-year-old homeless Kenyan, who wanted to return home after 46 years in North America, has been hospitalised in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States.
Sources at Grady Memorial Hospital in downtown Atlanta told the Nation on Tuesday night that Mr Timothy Majanja was “in critical condition and we must perform a specialised procedure on him”. A medical assistant, who spoke on condition of anonymity as she was not authorised to talk to the media, said doctors and hospital personnel had made frantic efforts to trace Mr Majanja’s next of kin to give consent for the undisclosed procedure.
And in an email to the Nation on Tuesday, an official at the Kenyan embassy in Washington, DC, said the hospital had been in touch, seeking help in tracing Mr Majanja’s relatives. https://www.nation.co.ke/news/Homeless-Kenyan--in-US-hospitalised-as-doctors-seek-next-of-kin/1056-2543008-u75jhyz/index.html
claims after he lost his DL & passport his life turned around. Come on now in the USA things are digital. He could easily get a replacement. That was a lie. This man was into drugs or alcohol
Huyu alijiwaste kama fucking. Mtu alienda majuu 1968 angerudi Kenya kwanza akuwe lecturer, alafu aingie gava kama minister ama PS. Kutoka hapo ni kunyakua mashamba polepoooooole na kujipa ma-tender. Sahii familia yake ndio wangekuwa birrionaire political kingpins huko kachmeka. Anyway, hindsight is 20/20. Pole kwa mwendazake.
huyo mujamaa alienda mpaka aka change jina akakuwa adopted na mzungu na akaoa mzungu so he was a full canadian hakuna cha deportation nashuku aliwekwa ndani kama miaka 20 juu ya pharmacy kutoka akavuka kwa Trump .
Keep in mind that Homelessness in developed nations is usually caused by an underlying mental disorder. Usually severe depression or schizophrenia. He may sound and look right, but he is not 100% normal.
Mimi hujiuliza pia. He did not make an effort kurudi home after all these years. Azikwe or get cremated in the states. As he lived so shall he be pass into the earth. Mchango iendee jamii yake.
Kama night spiritual maneno wanataka(family), let them come to his burial in the states wakibeba soil from his ancestral home.
lazima body irudi kwa ancestral land asisumbue grandkids in the future . thats how we conservative traditionalists tunaamini . hata wewe marine bonoko ukiangushwa pale kwa kiosk ya miraa ya abdul helmand province , lazima urudishwe Kisumu
kwani humalizi story? alafu akikufa in 2018 in an ostentatious state funeral attended mainly by pretentious vultures who really hated his guts a few months later will inasomwa. The vultures grab most of his looted wealth while his numerous wives and children are left fighting over peanuts as they slide slowly into poverty and oblivion. His legacy is soon squandered on drink and womens. These womens are usually granddaughters of the paupers he fleeced on his way up.
Out of shame for the deceased, the president will then give one of majanja’s children a job hoping he or she can re-steal and re-stock the dwindling family fortunes. but it’s too little too late.
Mchango gani?! Unclaimed bodies like his huwa inazikwa na kanjo ya U.S. Unatupwa tu kwa box mzee hata labda ilikuwa imebeba waru na cemetery yao huwa pale next na landfill. na family huku Kenya hawana pesa ya ndege hata visa wapewe na nani, hata ya kulipa visa hawana.
So wacha kenya embassy washughulikie arudishwe, angalau this prodigal son azikwe na forefathers kwao since walikataa kumsaidia akiwa hai na uwezo walikuwa nayo.
