If the virus SARS-CoV-2 is able to penetrate masks and spread over distances of up to 5 feet / 1.5 meters (see point 3), why does a swab have to be inserted through the nose about 2 inches / 5 cm deep into the nasopharynx to take the cell sample for the PCR test?
