I like the idea of new stadia. But building a stadium in Eldoret and Garissa where high level footbal is not played is ujinga. A stadium needs to pay for itself via gate receipts. Eldoret and Garissa cannot sustain a new stadium.

http://kenyapage.net/commentary/rugby/building-a-stadium-in-eldoret-doesnt-make-the-slightest-sense/

What? A stadium in Eldoret is a much needed facility. A team like Ulinzi Stars or any other top flight football club can make Eldoret its home ground, with the consequence that top flight football will again flow in Eldoret since the days of Rivatex and Eldoret KCC.

And who said the stadium is to be used only for football? Eldoret as the hub of world beating athletes deserves a state of the art stadia.

Who cheated you that Ulinzi will move their homeground to Eldoret? Hiyo ni daydreaming .

Most Ulinzi players are based in Lanet and Nairobi. So the only home-grounds that Ulinzi can use are Nairobi and Nakuru. Using Eldoret as their home-ground is too expensive and inconvenient because of travel logistics for players. You think Ulinzi can afford to transport players from Nairobi to Eldoret every weekend?

And Athletics does not generate any gate collections. Nobody pays to watch athletics. Entry is always free. A stadium can only be maintained if people pay to enter. . So stop deceiving yourself.

A stadium can also pay for itself if it gains sponsorship. But a stadium in Eldoret that is rarely used will never gain sponsorship.
So stop dreaming

By the team tendepreneurs go to court to protest losing out on the tenders, unnecessary litigations that have become a fixture in our public projects… it will be 2020

Building a stadium in Garissa where nobody plays sports shows that Jubilee are brainless
