5 signs that Nakumatt is going down

For the third time this week, i went to the supermarket and was met with empty shelfs.
Not just any supermarket, but Nakumatt…

Here are my 5 reasons why Nakumatt is going down.
1. No toothpaste.
I couldn’t find the toothpaste of my choice. I had to buy what they have.

  1. No doom

  2. No Paper bags for clients.

  3. Inadequate staff

  4. Inadequately stocked quantities

Either someone is sleeping on the job, or they have just chosen to be irritatingly incompetent!

Nakumatt was too ambitious in expansion.

Everything except maybe 190 points. Each is worth Sh. 1.20.

If problems persist, the points could devalued or cancelled altogether. The company needs cash, not points.

Nakumatt started coming down tumbling when key stakeholders left…

Was at their lifestyle branch and they didn’t have a single bottle of water of any brand last week :( they only had the 20litres ones.Needless to say the shelves were completely empty!

Some unconfirmed rumor is that the owner of Nakumatt is building a multi million Hotel in Dubai and has redirecting the cash there.

Nakumatt ya TRM seems to still be relatively well stocked. So either they’re re-stocking or their stuff isn’t moving off shelves fast enough. Nigerians and young folk wa Roysambu are not shopping buana! That mall is in the doldrums. Oh, and they flatly refused to let me pay for stuff with the points on my card giving me some cock and bull story about downtime on their servers. Similar thing happened at Nakumatt ile iko opposite Afya Centre. Pia hao walikataa
