@gashwin barua yako imeanikwa hapa.
That’s alot of money for busfare in 1978.
Huo ni upuss, hakuna mama ya MTU anaweza sema ninii nyukwa…
:D:D:D
I always wonder how we managed to go on with life without phones
why is “nyukwa” looked upon as a derogatory term? And is “maitu” a mother or grandma?
Hata akiwa wa kirinyaga??
Kirinyaga ni nyukwe
This is so silly.
:D:D:D:D
:D:D:D Reminds me I saw my two cousins fighting just cause one asked the other ‘nyukwa ekwo?’.
Nyukwa is not abusive at all. That is the proper kikuyu for “yo mama”.
But kuna vile it sounds demeaning.
Tell them.
Na ukisema Cugwo, yaani your grandma, is it demeaning? Or thogwo-your father? Why is it only nyukwa that sounds demeaning? Wacheni zenu.
(so asks the man whose name resembles the swahili word for network :):))
I for one suffered alot standing for hours outside Kenya Cinema waiting for my friends, there was no way to confirm whether they had cancelled or not.
It was the way it was put that made us think so I guess.

I mean I never heard anyone saying that word in a positive way.
Fathers were the ones who used that term on the kids and it usually did not refer to the mum with affection
Your old man had issues
hehehe…nope. I heard it from other papas .:D:D:D:D:D
