What plan or policies does Matiangi or the opposition really have? Maybe someone should tell me one of them or the opposition for that matter? What is their agenda or policies that they plan to put in place if they form government? I have no idea of any.
For me 2027 is an easy choice. From the candidates in place now I will stick with the president. At least for Ruto he has policies he is executing and he is not afraid to make tough decisions whether they be popular or not. This is the kind of leader Kenya needs not conformists like Kalonzo who won’t make any changes and have no agenda or those driven by bitterness like Gachagua or even Matiangi who has no known agenda.
At least Ruto has clear policies whether you agree with them or you don’t like
Affordable Housing program including markets and institutional housing
Universal Health Coverage under SHA and Digitization of Health
Infrastructure fund to build 50 Mega Dams, 20,000km of roads and 10,000MW of energy
Reform in Education even though controversial through new university funding model and change of junior school to be in primary school instead of senior school that had caused confusion
Digitization of government through Ecitizen to onboard more services and procurement
Financial independence granted to police and judiciary (judiciary fund) and respect of court rulings
When the opposition gets an agenda and plan, maybe I will try to listen to them but for now the president is the best option. I better follow a person with an agenda and plan than someone who does not have an idea what they want to do when they take power.
I’m sticking with Ruto as well in case he changes his mind and tries the superior Top-Down approach in his second term. Most President’s usually use their second term for legacy building, but maybe this is a new and novel approach.
These policies look good on paper, but he’s fumbling terribly in execution. He’s also not reducing foreign debt as he promised, and corruption in this government is rife. Being a micromanager, the guy is literally everywhere trying to do everything at once.
Of what use is this affordable housing nonsense to a teacher in kathonzweni or chepalungu or lokichar who is forcefully deducted the money to build houses he will never ever live in or own?
Tell us the policies first of the candidate you are supporting before criticizing the polices of others . You cannot be only be opposing without giving an alternative. What is your alternative for housing and dealing with slums or yours is just to oppose what others have done
What were Ruto’s policies during their first term? Ruto was just tangatangaring and undermining his boss and spending lavishly on private jets etc, and oh yeah, stealing like a chokora unleashed in a supermarket. You can’t say the others have no plan. It is too early. But we know you people. A little money must be changing hands for you to “see” the developments while ignoring the suffering people are going through. You will soon learn that ordinary Kenyans can’t afford those affordable slums.
What are those plans that the opposition have were they to win in 2027? please share with us then we can discuss. We cannot just discuss hot hair and suppositions. Or it is Ruto is wantam, Ruto ni muuaji, Ruto is corrupt etc? maybe that is the opposition agenda that will transform Kenya after 2027 if they win.
