mahesabu za baze ya jaba.

Nothing on jaba exactly but we have something on njugu business in relation to jaba:

"…Muguka is consumed by chewing the leaves in order to squeeze the juice out of them. The juice is the stimulant. But, it’s not just chewing, there is a technique to it. You put a few leaves in the mouth, chew until they are like a cow’s cud, but you don’t spit, you continue adding more leaves chewing, adding, chewing and repeating until the end of the day or your bunch of muguka finishes.
For you to get the most out of the muguka you need two things. One something to hold the leaves together so that they remain cud like so that you don’t swallow them. And two a thing to help squeeze all the juice from the muguka leaves.
In the muguka chewing lingua these “things” are mostly called chasers, material and other such names. There are two main kinds of chasers; one gum, as in chewing gum like Big G, and two Njugu. Often it’s an either or and rarely will a consumer use both as chasers.
So basically you put some leaves in the mouth and then bite a chaser. You add the chaser to the cud as need be, timing it such that it’s not too much neither too little. And again balancing it between the quantity of muguka you have and your budget.
Our estimate is that 65% of chewers use njugu as the chaser compared to 35 % that use gum. There are several reasons for this. Note that the reasons are not scientific but rather based on perceptions and ‘experiences’ derived from reality or imagination:

[ul]
[li]Good quality njugus are able to squeeze the juice from the leaves than gum. This is because they are ‘dry’ and with a high affinity for water. Bad quality njugu, like those that are not properly cooked or exposed to air are not able to perform this role since they are already ‘full ‘of water.[/li][li]Njugus contain some salt which stimulates the glands to produce saliva. The saliva makes the mouth not to be so dry, arouses the taste glands pushing the jaba high even higher.[/li][li]Njugus guard against the effects of erectile dysfunction caused by chewing muguka. While consuming muguka increases libido, ironically, it results to erectile dysfunction. When one chews with gum they are likely to get the dysfunction but when they use njugu they are likely to perform. So it is said.[/li][li]There is no harm even if you swallow some njugu, but you are likely to get a stomach ache when you swallow gum.[/li][li]Njugu is good for your health and dental hygiene while gum, with the sugars and ‘chemicals’ is destructive.[/li][li]Njugu binds and ‘mixes’ the leaves better than gum. Gum turns the leaves into a tough difficult to chew mix. Njugu moderates them to the right level.[/li][li]Muguka is natural. Njugus are natural. That’s the way it should be.[/li][/ul]

All of the above is debatable but it’s what gives njugu an edge. It’s also what those who use njugu as a chaser swear by…"

Good Bot.

Does a bot know is not a bot

Oh Shit! I really thought you were a bot scouring replies for keywords and responding with excerpts.

My Bad.
As you were.

No worries. I have quoted from the report we have.

I beg to differ, njugu makes muguks pasty and hence one is prone to swallowing it.
