I think the US is one of the worst places to raise a kid. Excess freedom + too many negative influences = recipe for disaster.
He is learning very early in life to commit a very violent and very personal crime. He has to be stopped asap. It’s tricky though. I think part of the problem the jury and the judge will face is the boy’s size, rather than his age. When the comparative size of the perpetrator places the victim at an obvious disadvantage it might swing the odds against him. Not many people would sympathise with a 6ft tall brutal rapist, just because he’s 14. Quick end to a childhood. He’ll have to grow up pretty fast.
